Somatic Circles are an invitation to exit those mental mazes and seek refuge in the concrete, honest wisdom of your body.
I want to ask you: "In your moments of greatest fatigue today, did you choose to pause and ask yourself: 'What does my body truly need right now?'"
When intense waves of stress or emotional winds surge, most of us begin to operate on autopilot. Finding balance during these times starts with transforming the body into a safe harbor, moving beyond merely trying to change thoughts.
The Power of 20–30 Minutes: The Sprouting of a Seed
The growth of a magnificent tree in a single day is contrary to the rhythm of nature. Therefore, the focused 20–30 minute durations of our Somatic Circles reflect a core philosophy: Every journey begins with a single step.
In these circles, we compassionately water the seeds of inner serenity. This precious window of time allows that seed to sprout by progressing slowly and gently, without pushing the body. Feedback from our participants shows that these consistent small steps bring an unshakeable inner peace and emotional courage to their lives. As they connect with themselves, they discover the power to transform their challenging moments within.
Internal Resources: The Pebbles in Your Pocket
Somatic Circles are guided by nervous system-based somatic practices. Our objective is to build your internal resources so you can quickly return to balance (regulation) when a storm of challenging emotions hits. In my terminology, these are the "pebbles in your pocket," ready at your fingertips during difficult times.
We always begin our sessions with grounding and resourcing work. This is the most direct way to signal to your nervous system: "You are here, you are safe, and you are supported." Through these applied practices, when you face a moment of activation, you learn to resolve the emotion through the body instead of engaging in a mental struggle.
The stronger our resources are, the more fluid and balanced our lives become.
The Body's Hidden Compass
"Are you connecting with your body?" This question is the key to our sessions.
Your body carries that hidden compass at every moment, capable of navigating you to harbor even amidst a storm. Rather than offering a ready-made map, Somatic Circles restore your ability to read that compass. The flow of the sessions is shaped by the sensations arising from the group and trust in the process itself. This means compassionately surrendering to the wisdom of the body.
When you approach yourself with love and without judgment, your body learns not just to carry difficult emotions, but to transform them.
